Vitamin B6 is a group of substances -pyridoxine, pyridoxinal and pyridoxamine that are closely related and function together.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is required for the metabolism of proteins. It helps to maintain fluid balance and is required for healthy red blood cells. It is actively involved in system functions than any other single nutrient.
B 6 also aids in the production of niacin from tryptophan. Therefore, when you don't have enough B 6 , you probably won't have enough niacin. B 6 and niacin together can help hyperactive kids.
The vitamin is responsible for making and taking various amino acids apart. Vitamin B6 is also used to make dopamine, hormones, melatonin, and serotonin.
